THE CHIANTI - The area of the Chianti Classico D.O.C. wine, in the Florentine country include the teriitory of Barberino Val d’Elsa, Greve, S. Casciano e Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. The name have itssource on the “League of the Chianti”, established from the Florentine Republic opposite to Siena, inm the XIVth. century. The great reputation of Cianti wine (brillant red-coloured wine from an intense bouquet) trace back to the XVth. century and it had a quick diffusion in the half of ‘700. But Chianti is not only wine; it is also history, art and modern industries. The essential itinerary is: Barberino V.E. (Mura; Palazzo Pretorio; Pieve di S.
